Referral Criteria

Referral is made through the case management process or through the institutional Parole Office. Assistance may be receive through Indigenous Elders or Liaisons.

Participants need to be motivated, have a commitment to personal healing, and be eligible for release to the community.

The case worker and applicant develop an individual recovery plan together. Applicants are interviewed by Tsow-Tun Le Lum staff before being accepted into the program.

Prior to acceptance the applicant must make a written commitment to complete the program.

More specific criteria for programs are listed in each program description.

Evaluation and Continuing Support

Each participant works with the counsellor to complete an after-care recovery plan and evaluation forms. The after-care recovery plan establishes the social and therapeutic support structures for the participant once they have left our program.

At the completion of each program, participants receive a discharge summary and will continue programs outlined in their correctional plan.
